🌄 Roots Country School Students Enjoyed an Enriching Picnic Trip to Shimla 🌄
Students of Roots Country School had a memorable and fun-filled picnic trip to Shimla, where they explored the serene beauty of the hills and discovered many historical and cultural landmarks. The trip was not only recreational but also educational, giving students an opportunity to bond, relax, and learn outside the classroom.
During the trip, students visited some of Shimla’s most iconic spots, including:
🛍️ Mall Road – Students strolled through the bustling heart of Shimla, enjoying local delicacies, shopping for souvenirs, and experiencing the lively atmosphere of the famous colonial-era promenade.
❄️ Kufri – The scenic hill spot thrilled students with its natural beauty and panoramic views. They enjoyed horse rides, clicked photographs, and learned about the geography and biodiversity of the region.
🌲 Mashobra – The peaceful landscape of Mashobra gave students a refreshing experience amidst pine-covered hills. They appreciated the calm environment and explored local culture and traditions.
🏛️ Indian Institute of Advanced Study (Viceregal Lodge) – A visit to this historical building gave students insights into India’s colonial past and the significance of Shimla in pre-independence politics. They were fascinated by the architecture, rich heritage, and the academic atmosphere of the institute.
Throughout the journey, students participated in various fun activities and group games, building team spirit and friendships. Teachers ensured that the trip remained well-organized, safe, and educational.
